Mandatory vaccination has become an important public health policy globally. Citizens are required by law to be vaccinated to prevent the spread of disease and protect public health. The mandatory vaccination has increased around the world. In 2023, a total of 71 countries have made different vaccination compulsory for citizens in different occupations. This is an important policy shift to address the global health challenges posed by COVID-19. For example: in 2022 COVID-19, the cooks, security guards and cleaning personnel were mandated to take the COVID-19 vaccine in China. In Germany, the government is debating whether to vaccinate all citizens. This article will explore the two pros and two cons of mandatory vaccinations.

In 2020, the United States government spent more than 2.4 trillion dollars on equipment for treating Covid-19 patients. Including ventilators and monitoring equipment. (David & Lawrence, 2020) In contrast, Susan et al. (2021) argued that the cost of one dose of the Pfizer Covid vaccine in 2020 was 19.5 dollars. As a result, the cost of vaccinating all Americans would be significantly less than $50 billion. However, these side effects are rare and usually mild, and most will disappear over time. Mandatory vaccinations are available to all citizens.
