In the city of Tucson Arizona, on a sunny May morning, everything was going just fine. Saguaro’s were blooming, the aroma was strong, and the students of the University of Arizona were cruising through campus. Everyone was laughing and having a great time with their friends. The city council had recently passed a law where students could now own a certain number of weapons.
Arizona, had recently had a spike in crime. U of A felt students should protect be able to protect themselves. Brody Stevens, a convicted serial killer who recently attacked the Arizona State campus was seen headed to Tucson. The police wanted to take control of the University but the population was to large.
At 5:30 that night mass shooter, Brody entered his dorm room at the University of Arizona. After days of planning, he brought a gun to his dorm and started shooting out the window onto the common area. He opened fire on the campus. It was thought almost all students in the area were killed. There was only one survivor of the mass shooting, Colby Alexis.

The city council and police thought Brody worked alone in both shootings but the reality was he had help. This meant the people on campus had no protection.
Colby Alexis, who was Brody’s roommate and the only one who survived the shooting, was starting to get questioned by the police. He was getting questioned because, he was the only one who survived the attack out of the several who were killed. They thought he killed all of the people. The police invited Colby to come talk about the attack. In a meeting, Colby was surprised that police suspected him working with Brody. Throughout questioning, Colby kept saying, “I was a victim and I never did
