Michael Jordan is a well known NBA player and Olympic gold medalist, but do you really know him? Michael Jeffrey Jordan was born on February 17, 1963, in Brooklyn, New York. I chose him because when it comes to basketball, I look up to him because in my opinion, he is the best. I have always been a fan of the Chicago Bulls (his former team) and the NBA has always been a part of my life, every chance I get to watch basketball I do. He tried out for the school’s basketball team but sadly didn’t make it, but that didn’t stop him, he continued practicing and playing more. When Jordan was 18, he enrolled in college at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and soon became a member of the school’s basketball team. He scored the final basket playing against Georgetown University and helped his team win the NCAA division championship.
