My Leadership Philosophy

Everyone has their own opinion and assumptions but it doesn’t make it right because it belongs to them. We all assume information without reviewing the entire situation. This tends to form different leadership styles and approaches. Leadership is the act of being able to take on any responsibility and being able to lead a group of people. “ Anyone who actively engages with a group of people to accomplish” change everyone can be a leader but what matters is if one can be an effective leader. An effective leader is someone who has a vision and motivates and inspires people to do their best. They are also available if the follower needs assistance at hand. As a leader it is important to realize that not everyone’s perfect and leadership can be taught. When followers feel respected it makes them feel enthusiastic about the task at hand. When a leader is feared they’re not approachable. For Example, this past winter on my study abroad trip I had to quickly take the leadership role because the group leader was not being an effective leader. Fortunately, I handled this role well. I made sure that everyone completed all assignments on time and that I addressed any issues or concerns of my group members. The original group leader did not know that I was the actual leader because I just automatically stepped up to the plate in a dyer time. We had pressing deadlines to meet and weather I liked it or not I had to take responsible for any mishaps of my group. This has happen to me a few times but the situation was different because we were on a trip outside of the country. Although we had to adapt to the new environment there were many times when we had to complete work on the plane, on the bus, on the train and in the hotel lobby. This is what I had to do this in this particular situation, but in other situations such as sports, I had to bring on another captain to help me manage my
