Introduction
North Carolina board of education has the mandate to ensure that all students are offered a comprehensive education system that includes all areas in the Standard Course of Study (SCS). Best standards in education provide clear and consistent learning goals for the students. North Carolina educational standards guide the students in colleges and prepare them to adopt good careers in life. The standards determine what the students should learn at each level. Teachers and parents play a crucial role in ensuring the learning process help the students. The programs of study in the state are defined by SCS. The subjects offered in various schools are stipulated in the SCS legal document. This balanced curriculum is based on the philosophy of educating children within the state. The children are enabled to take dynamic roles in building their future careers. The balanced curriculum allows students to demonstrate their knowledge in a variety of ways. The students are taught about health, physical and career education. This system ensures all needs of the learners are met and developed. The balanced curriculum offered demonstrates the skills and knowledge of the students are nurtured in school. The curriculum helps students succeed in all learning programs such as art education, communication and information skills, mathematics, English language, and …show more content…
They understand the curriculum they teach and align their instructions to a standard course of the study. The instructions are integrated depending on the level of the study. Teachers apply appropriate strategies to make the curriculum effective to the scholars. They ensure that they understand more about the content they teach. Knowledge of the educators builds students' curiosity and interest in learning. Due to their experience in the content, teachers understand the link between subjects and grades. They are able to develop student understanding by creating awareness and relating what they teach to other disciplines. Student learning is maximized through the use of technology, which enables them to improve their learning process. The students are requested to ask questions, generate innovative ideas in order to develop their critical thinking and problem-solving
