Osteoporosis is a disease characterized by its low bone mass, deterioration of bone tissue and disruption of bone microarchitecture, which lead to high risks of fracture.1 Nowadays, it is a disease raising public attention due to the global ageing. This disease can cause disability even mortality, which is a burden for the public health resources and lead to a discomfort elderly life. Although the treatment of the disease is considered to be easy, it is hard to make an early diagnosis, as it shows no significant symptom. Age, Female sex, early menopause is considered to be important risk factors.2,3

One main reason for osteoporosis may be the imbalance of the formation and absorption of bone, Osteoclast (bone-resorbing cells) is overactive by genetic, endocrine and nutrient factors, increasing the absorption rate, cause the decrease in bone density as well as weak bone structure. Another reason for osteoporosis would be the peak bone density does not reach in the adolescence. Usually, the main cause for osteoporosis in post-menopausal women is estrogen deficiency. 3,4,5

T-value of -2.5 is marked as threshold for women aged above 50 by WHO, the patient whose T-value below -2.5 is considered osteoporosis. Moreover, patient with one or more fracture whose T-value below -2.5 is considered sever. When patient’s T-value is between -1.0 to -2.5, we consider the patient have low bone mass. as bone density only constitute up to 70% of the total bone strength, T-score measurement has its limitation, the algorithm such as FRAX, is recommend to use for fracture
