Personal Narrative: A Career In High School

Three years ago I was just starting high school and was excited about starting school that year because I was just getting out of middle school, but what I didn’t realize is that high school flies by before you know it. I’m now in my last year of high school and have to start thinking about starting a career or even go to college! I’m definitely not ready to grow up but before I know it I’m going to have to start paying bills and my own phone plans and my own clothes and food, so if I wanted all of this an can afford it I’m gonna have to suck it up and grow up. Instead of going to college I have decided to go to a trade school to become an engineer or maybe even an electrician, both jobs accept high school grads. So no more little part time jobs only working 15 hours a week, its full time from now on working 40 hours plus its crazy where the time has gone. I would want to go to a trade school somewhere in Texas so I can be close to my family and friends and I already have a good feel for Texas. A trade school is pretty much a school that focuses on that one carrier choice of your choosing. For example if I was gonna be an engineer my whole schedule would just be all about engineering, they would teach you how to fix thing, math, and pretty much anything that goes along with the job. …show more content…
He also showed me a couple cool things about engineering like how to fix a car engine if there was any kind of problem and etc. And he also told me that he has a friend that works for a trade’s schools management that is also the company of the number 1 hiring management place for trade school graduates. I have a meeting with the company owner in a couple weeks so I’m very ecstatic to start working and getting paid around 35 to 50$ an
