My work ethic speaks to who I am as person, student, leader, friend, mentor and as upcoming future professional. Throughout my whole educational career I’ve been the student to re-read the chapter a few times to understand and as was the one who took me a bit longer on test. Yet, I loved being in the educational environment, it’s truly been a privilege to come and learn not just from my teachers and instructor but from everyone around me. It was the desire to learn and do more in the educational arena that pushed me to work even harder. It was my work ethic that cared me over to compete at a national conference for impromptu speaking and it was that same work ethic that has pushed me through all the challenges to be the first in my family to go and be graduating later this semester from college.
My work ethic that always pushed me to carrying out my goals to the finish. In regards to my short-term goal, is obtaining a master degree in education that will provide me the opportunity to give from all the experiences that I’ve benefit from as the individual am today. Having a variety of different background roles, in orientation, leadership programing and student government have provided me with essential skills to thrive in the HEAL program. From group facilitation, interpersonal communication, collaboration ability, and to appreciation of diverse perspective.
