At a young age, high school students need to learn to take responsibilities among themselves. They need to be able to choose what is good and bad for them. Each year, many teens do not make the right decision and end up pregnant. California has one of the highest rates of teen pregnancy across the United States. Some school in California have a program where the pupils have to make their what's known as a flour baby. This baby is fake of course, but it gives the students a real feel of how it would be to have a real a baby. These babies are stuffed with a 5 to 10 pound sack of flour. Planned Parenthood has about 700 centers located all across the U.S. thus it reflects how diverse they are within the communities and ethnicities. They are a perfect alliance because they too also want to to help stop pregnancy rates and they have more than eight million activist and supports. ReCAPP is determined to find effective ways to reduce pregnancy rates among teens. Both alliances have agreed to send various representatives of their institute to march with us in our state capital. It does not matter what gender you are, or where you come from. All ethnicities are having this problem, not just one. Every citizen is aware many teens our getting pregnant, they can do their part by getting involve in our movement We need to inform the parents of these high school students, that if they are assigned a flour baby, it can help their children make a responsible choices in their lives. We can have former students who have had a flour baby to join us, so they can help us talk to the parents how this can be helpful in the long run. Chris Ungar our current president of the California School Boards Association, is main target we want him to hear us so that he can persuade school districts to adapt this idea. We are going to show him that those flour babies will have an impact in students'
