First of all, a parent or guardian would have reasons why their child should not be in a relationship with somebody. One reason why a parent might say that is because, they think their child's center of attention should be on their career. According to "thehimalayantimes.com" it said,"The only rational thing that they ought to do is to focus on their career and make their life meaningful by pursuing the purpose for which they were sent here on Earth." This means that instead of adolescent have their attention on being in love or finding a lover they should throw those thought away and thing about their education. On the website called "www.theguardian.com" it says, "you can marry any man you want – as long as he’s Sikh.” This warning was issued to me and my sister, by our parents, at an early age. So, Priya Basil could marry any man that was Sikh and only Sikh. In the story Romeo and Juliet the reason why they could not get married was because of family gruges that prohibited them to be together. But, that is not the only reason why Romeo and Juliet could not be together. For example, Romeo can not be with Juliet because, Juliets dad Capulet has guy in mind that Juliet is going to marry. The arranged marrige has a role in Romeo and Juliet not being together. According to the book Romeo and Juliet, Lady Capulet tell Juliet,"Marry, my child, early next Thursday morn, The gallant, young, and noble gentleman, The County Paris, at Saint Peter’s Church, Shall happily make thee there a joyful bride." Basically, Lady Capulet is saying that on Thursday she will be getting married to Paris at Saint Peter's Church.
