Field Experience #1
I thought the environment was very colorful and warm. There were plenty of toys in the room along with specific sections for the kids to be in. I liked how they split the toddlers into different groups during play time. They had good cubby space for the kids to put their things along with all their projects as well. Everything seemed to run smoothly, even the transition between going outside went smoothly. The teacher had kids sit down in their specific spot and the quietest kid gets to be the leader of the group while the loudest was put in the back of the line. While they were outside, everything ran well. The staff handled situations well. They let the children handle their own problems, while intervening when the kids did something they were not supposed to do. The teachers also gave the children attention and showed love when the kids came over to them.
I would say the environments were definitely developmentally appropriate. They had hands on time where they could play with dolls, trains, and other things involving their imaginations. The room was well set up to display each section for each …show more content…
The room is set up very well to accommodate the daily schedule. The small tables for the toddlers to sit at are at the back so they can start there, then when its play time the toys are right near them so they do not have to search for them, another benefit of this setup, is that it leaves a lot of open space toward the front of the room. The kids use this space to play with their toys and dance during free time. I enjoyed my time in the room. All the kids seemed to have fun playing and learning in the room. I thought the room was set up extremely well to benefit the daily schedule while keeping the kid's needs for space to play involved. I would not change
