One of my favorite things about this season is how deeply rooted Thanksgiving is in tradition. From the first meal at Plimouth, to the ones shared in the homes of all of our patients, not a lot has changed. You get together with those you care about, eat too much, and swap your best stories. At the time, we were roommates, and a bunch of my family decided to come down for the Notre Dame vs USC football game that happens every Thanksgiving weekend. My siblings are big Notre Dame fans, so getting to spend the holiday with me was just a perk! Luckily, my buddy was able to join us for Thanksgiving dinner, and just like that, the first year of an over 30 year streak together happened.
