Furthermore, a true American is someone who has the drive to achieve what they believe to be their American dream. Immigrants who arrive in America and people who are born in America each have their own passions and goals. Despite this, they all have one thing in common: the American dream. The American dream is not one specific goal. It is not necessarily a beautiful house surrounded by large trees that are enclosed by a little white picket fence with a dog running around the front yard. It is a goal or idea in the back of an American’s mind that gives them a purpose in life. It is what keeps them going and what brings them together. The American Dream is an opportunity to make choices that will lead to a better life for you and your children.
