What do you think made you the person you are today? For me, it would have to be my school years, mental health, and baseball. Many people have a sport that makes them a better person, and mine is baseball. I would never be the person I am today if it wasn’t for the things I have experienced in my life. To begin, I will never forget the time when I was in middle school, I was managing the baseball team my 6th grade year. While me and my teammates stopped at a gas station to use the restroom and grab something to eat. I was in the restroom, and a sophomore picked me up and slammed me to the floor. This was all because I did not meet the standard body type and it was a little weird. He thought he was funny for bullying a kid like me. These are some of the many reasons I have struggled with my mental health. Growing up in a household where the people were not very nice to each other, my parents got a divorce and have not been around ever since. As well as being a little bigger than most people, has made my life somewhat of a struggle. I also struggled focusing on certain things because I have ADHD and I became depressed and almost overdosed on painkillers. Then, my first two years of baseball were a struggle. I have never been much of a fast runner, and then being a bit bigger did not make that any easier for me. My freshman year I was not the best at hitting, but my sophomore year I was a little better, just too weak to hit the ball far. Although I have always been good at my techniques, I was just never athletic enough to represent my skills. Last year on April 25, 2023 I lost my great grandfather on the same day I had a baseball game. Then the next day I had another one and got benched for that
