One of the many life lessons that this activity has taught me is that even if things are not going as well as I would like, they will always improve. Whether it's a streak of hitless games or the grief of losing a loved one, things will always look up. Another life lesson that baseball has taught me is that it is ok to take calculated risks, even if when you take those risks you do not succeed, but no matter what happens you always have to learn from the risks you take.
