She works on or in areas that are the most interesting to her. Emily really enjoys being outside, circle time area, playing the piano, and the art table. She likes to play the game I Spy. I played it with her outside. We played I Spy using colors. She would ask me to look for green and I would look for it and find it. I would do the same thing with her. I would ask her to look for a color, and Emily was able to identify it. While playing the game, I noticed that Emily could identify colors that was in her environment around her. Emily is eager to learn new things for herself. When I was outside with her at the swings, she told me not to push her because she was eager to learn to swing on her own and she did. This shows that she also likes to solve her own problems. When she does not know how to solve it, she tries to ask for help when she needs it, but mostly she solves them on her own. Emily shows eagerness to learn about new things in her environment. She loves to learn about new topics and ideas of all kinds. Emily uses her creativity and flexibility during play and routine tasks. She made up a dance yoga routine when we were at her home. It was a mix of dance and yoga moves. In the center, Emily and her friends went on a boat ride to a concert and then got out of the boat to sing at their concert. She can recognize and recall things that have happened before and makes connections with them. Emily made playdough cookie hearts for everyone because she liked us so much.
