About 900 school districts in America have switched to a four-day school week and over 53% of them saw a positive impact on their students' attendance. Many schools who switched to a four-day school week have said the test scores and attendance improved since switching to a shorter week. Lots of schools had positive results from the four day school week. Four day school weeks are a better option because it saves money, it's better for students' health, and having an extra free day gives you an opportunity to tutor kids.

Schools switch to four-day weeks because it saves money for the school. According to the site brief four-day school week overview, “By reducing the number of school days, schools can save money on transportation, food and energy costs,”(2024). Saving this money could be useful for sports associated with the school or any school activities. In one year, a school in Oklahoma saved 33 dollars per student. That year, they saved $17,358 in total for field trips or improvements for school sports. In conclusion, if schools switch to four-day school weeks, they could save lots of money.
