I want to gain real experience researching and gaining inquiry skills. I don’t want to be tied down to a classroom chair for four years. I want to be out in the world, practicing and preparing for my future in the medical field. There are so many unanswered questions in the world, and I hope to one day be at the forefront, finding answers and solutions to research queries. With brilliant, engaging professors, and equally engaging classmates, the University of Chicago is perfect for me. Taking different classes can open up a different perspective. Instead of only seeing things from a biology standpoint, I can approach situations from an open perspective. Only pursuing one area of interest is like wearing blinders, there’s a whole world around you, but you can only see a select fraction of it. Interaction between students of different ages, races, majors, and backgrounds is possible through the house system. Rather than being stuck with people exactly like me, I can be surrounded by diverse individuals, connected by the common desire to learn and experience and
