Leadership has been studied in last century as trait approach, skill approach and leaders style approach. As i have discussed earlier that leadership is a process and knowing the fact, I can see myself in a process of becoming a leader. While completing the big 5 personality test I came to know my strengths and areas of improvement, which need further focus to become a leader. Skill model of leadership concentrates on importance of technical, human and conceptual skills at different level of management and other competencies on outcome of effective leadership. Style approach provides a framework and describes the major component of leader's behavior with task and relationship dimension. Practical nature of situational approach gives straightforward solutions at different level of organization. Path goal theory provides recommendations for leaders to act based on subordinate characteristics and task characteristics. It describe the role of leader in removing obstacles in the path and motivating subordinates by evaluating their needs. Leader Member exchange theory explains the dyadic relationship between leader and follower and emphasizes the importance of high quality exchange between leader and followers for organizations performance. Authentic Leadership self-Assessment questionnaire helped me to measure my authentic leadership and identify stronger and weaker components.
