People can be at risk for cancer by doing everyday tasks. Cancer is a common disease that cannot always be cured. People often put themselves at risk for cancer while doing the activities they do and going to the places they go, every day. The environment and the way people live their lives can contribute to the risk of getting cancer. Some of the most common types of cancers risk factors and causes come from the environment and lifestyles people have. For example, asbestos are minerals that are known to cause lung cancer and can be found in construction sites and buildings in the walls and floors. Some cancer cases are caused by genetics or family history with that cancer, but the environment plays a bigger part in cancer.
