My first reason is that it does not improve year-round schooling. According to Professor Van Hippie studies have proved that test scores have improved by about the same amount with year-round schooling & traditional schooling. So basicly what that …show more content…
Also it doesn’t give children enough time to spend with family or go on family trips together. If you don’t have time to spend with your family then when you get older you're not going to have a very connection with your family. If you don’t have a very good bond with your family then you may not even know when one of your parents or a brother/sister dies, until someone asks you why you weren’t at their funeral. Another reason that you need time, to bond with family is if you don’t then your kids won't know them very well. Family trips would be very hard to plan, because you would only have 10 days off, then you're back to school for another 20 days. The reason it would be hard to plan a family trip is because during your 10 days off you're given lots of homework to keep you busy. Also some people may not be able to progress in a sport or with an instrument if the can’t go to a camp. Some evidence to support this that from my year from 5th grade to 6th I could not improve with the violin, and then my mother sent me to “camp” from 8 to 12 every day for a week and with just that my playing skills jumped. If I wasn’t sent to that “camp” then I probably wouldn’t have improved as much as I
