The Boston Massacre was a really bad day in Boston history that happened a long time ago. Some British soldiers were in town and they got into a fight with some colonists. It was really bad because 5 people died and a lot more were hurt. A lot of people were really mad at the soldiers for what they did. Before the shooting, people in Boston weren't getting along with the British very well. The colonists didn't like the British government making them pay taxes and do things they didn't want to do. The soldiers were there to keep people in line, but this made the colonists mad too. When the fight broke out, people were already feeling tense and upset.
