OPTIMISM:
This test in the course website assesses my own optimism by involving four dimensions which include permanence, pervasiveness, the stuff of hope and personalization. First category i.e. in the dimension of permanence my score stands as average level between being a moderately optimistic and a quite pessimistic. In my view, bad things are temporary part of life and can be these situations can be averted back once time passes, and I also feel that to have hope in life and achieve success one has to encounter these and progress along without losing faith in oneself. My scores reveal that I’m good at elaboration phase as I scored highest in this section. In assigning team roles, it would be preferable that I’m given the work phase of elaboration where my strength lies. For assessing flexibility skills, FBQ uses five behavioral traits which are working with new, changing and ambiguous situations; working under pressure, dealing with different personal styles, handling feedback, resolving conflicts. According to the results of the test, I’m good at working under pressure which I scored highest and lowest in handling feedback. So, it is preferable for myself to focus more my weakness i.e. handling feedback and emphasizing more on the strengths will be helpful when encountered with in managerial situations.
