The one-child policy was pointless because the population grew and made singleton children stressed. The one-child policy was created in 1980 and the idea was to bring the population down and bring demographics up. The one-child policy was not a good idea because the population grew a lot and the singleton children have a huge burden on them. The policy was pointless because it didn't help the population decrease.
