This high level of water pollution is detrimental to both the environment and the people who rely on it. Pollution in the bay caused by contaminants is harmful to people's health and the bay itself. Chemical pollution in the Chesapeake Bay is a significant environmental concern since it impacts the health of living ecosystems and endangers human health; However, if people are careful of their actions on land, pollution will be gradually reduced.
